What is Contemporary Dance?

Contemporary dance combines elements of ballet, modern, and lyrical dance to create a fluid and expressive style. It encourages freedom of movement, emotional storytelling, and creativity. Our classes introduce kids to this dynamic dance form, helping them build strength, flexibility, and artistic expression.

Meet Our Teacher

After receiving a scholarship award for her BA (Hons) Performing Arts: Contemporary Dance degree studied at The University of Brighton, Jade returned to Buckingham to build UP! Dance Collaborations.

Alongside confidence building, teamwork and performance skills, Jade's passions lie within the creative processes and choreography in Contemporary dance. She believes in developing the dancers own styles and personalities, allowing them to flourish by giving encouragement, constructive feedback and providing a safe environment for expression.
